Duwgati

See, that's me on my Ducati. That's to say...... if it will start
otherwise my friends have to push start me. That's how I got my nickname:
Duwgati
In Dutch, Duw means push & gati sounds similar to "it goes"
so it would translate like "push & go" :-))

My interest in satellite stuff only started to turn into a real hobby, somewhere in 2000. I bought a Echostar 3000 in late 1999 and that's where I discovered that there is so much more nice things to do with satellite receivers than was possible with my old Pace. By now I spend more time behind my PC than I do spend on watching TV.

Well you probably all know how it is. Once you're getting familiar with all the new stuff and terminology, things slowly come to life and start getting challenging. That's where mere interest can turn into a real hobby. The real hard part always is the beginning. The stage where you don't yet understand what all those insiders are talking about. That's why I've created this web site. Trying to explain some of the basics of this fascinating matter.

The site was originally written in Dutch only, but as I received more and more emails from people requesting other language versions, I decided to translate the whole thing into English as well.
