Black Progger Setup |

| Programming with BlackPro. This tutorial is seperated into 3 pages: 1. BlackPro setup 2. Programming of Funcards or Piccards 3. Programming of Titanium cards If you start the BlackPro software for the first time, you may need to adjust a few settings for your specific situation. To enter the Settings screen, press the Settings button in the upper right corner of you screen. ![]() The Settings screen lets you change a lot of parameters. Some of these parameters are best left "as is", unless you know exactly what you are doing. Those parameters are the 4 timing/delay sliders. They can be adjusted to optimize programming performance, but setting inappropriate values will cause the programming to fail. The default settings however, should be adequate for everybody. ![]() What you should adjust though, is the location of your files. Setting the correct path here, will save you a lot of clicking though your folder tree evey time you start programming a card. So click the folder selection icon (see below) and point to the folder where you have stored your files. You may set three different locations, for Funcards, Piccards and Titanium cards. ![]() Next you can select the modes for you programmer if, for whatever reason, you want to switch programming modes manually. By default, the programmer will automatically switch modes during programming, but if you want to do some MOSC editing for instance, you will need to set the programmer into Phoenix mode. That is when you will need this function. ![]() The next pull-down menu (see below) allows you to select the COM-port to which your programmer is connected. ![]() The 3rd pull-down menu lets you select your preferred language (see below). ![]() The last menu allows you to select a set of cards to use as a sample. In the programming section of the software, a picture is displayed of the actual card you are programming. There are 3 sets of cards available: Open Platform cards, Galaxy Cards and Unmarked cards. If you use a selection of cards in the mix, then select the option ALL (see below). ![]() So far, all there is to tell about the settings that are important to working with BlackPro and the BlackProg programmer. Those of you that would take configuration even a step further, should take a good look at the configuration files in the installation folder. The folder where the BlackProg.exe is installed. In that folder also contains a few .INI files. Those files determine how the software functions. If you for instance would like to add a card that is not currently available in the list, you can add that card yourself, provided that you have all the relevant details to program the card. Or you may want to remove a few cards from the list that you don't have. All that is possible by modifying the .INI files to your preference. | |
