Converting file formats with Picbined

Converting with Picbined.

Start Picbined and you'll see a screen similar to the one below.
Click the "Enable" button on the right.

You will notice that "Enable" changes to "Disable".
Also the Working Mode and Auto detect will be activated.

From the pull down menu, choose the coding system you want (in this case Seca).
Now, from the File menu choose open.
Select the eeprom file you would like to convert (as you can see that can be a. Bin,. Hex or. Crd file).

For purpose of this description I choose a. Hex file (eep24c16.hex).
The name of the chosen file will be displayed in the Title bar.

Now, from the File menu choose Save As.
Select the file format you need (e.g.. Hex,. Bin or. Crd) from the pull down menu.

If you like, you may also change the name of the file here, but make sure you don't change the extension.
Click Save and your file will be written in the new file format.

If you have chosen to write the file as a. Crd file however, you will be presented the next window.
. Crd files can use several different specifications, depending on the software you need them for.

The default file spec for the exported file is mode 1.
Unless you are absolutely sure it has to be another type, leave this to be mode 1.

That's all. Your file is converted to the new format specs.
