Recreate Virgin MOSC |
|
| You will need the information from your MKFind log. This procedure will blank your whole card except for the Seca provider 00 00. If you have saved your full card data, this procedure can be used to restore your card completely. But if you have no log of you original card data, you will be left with a Virgin state Seca MOSC without any Channel Providers. This procedure was carried out using SecaRL 1.85 and a Version 40 card. It should work just as well with a v41 or a v60 card, although I haven't had the opportunity to test those. There is (as always) no guarantee though, that it will work at all. Just give it a try. The Providers.ini file is used to configure the behavior of SecaRL within some functions of the program. SecaRL will not always update the changes to the Providers.ini file correctly (if at all). So I use the Notepad method which is quicker and more reliable. OK then, start notepad and open Providers.ini (it is in the folder where your SecaRL is installed). It should look like this down here (the top lines may look different as I scrolled down in this sample).
This is what you should change: The line ACTIF : will show either value 3 0 or value 1 0. When it contains 3 0 , this provider will not be included on the card when you revive your card. If it shows value 1 0 , the provider will be put on the card when you restore it. In the above example, you can see that all providers visible here, will be ignored, except for provider 00 19. This means that with these settings, SecaRL will recreate the card as if it were an original CANAL DIGITAAL card. Now you can edit the fields marked blue in the above screenshot. If you edit the values here, you will not need to manually edit these data in SecaRL or MKFind later. So keep your key data (for instance your MKF log file) ready. Now enter the Subscription End Date (enter the last day of the next month). Change the PBM (MASQUE) to its original value, found in your log. Do the same for the MK01, PPUA, CLE C, CLE D and CLE E. Save your Providers.ini file. You are now ready to start SecaRL and recover your card. So start and configure SecaRL. From the Menu Bar select Parametres. Then click on Choix de la langue.
Select the flag that represents the language that suits you best. Then click Valider.
Click on the Reload the card button. Another window pops up. This window is used as a checklist of the functions, contained in this part of the program. If you hoover over the CHECK LIST items with your mouse, you will see an explanation appear in the DETAILS window. Make sure you leave the First recharging tick box unchecked.
Click on Providers Informations. You now get to see a large window (below) which is used to edit your card. First we need to remove all unwanted information from the card. To do this, click the Deleting ghost providers button.
A small popup window warns you about the procedure you have selected. Press Oui.
In the log section of the program window, you can see what Commands (INS) are issued in order to remove all unwanted data from the card. If successful, you will see Info> Ghost providers deleted. at the bottom of the log section.
If the deletion of the ghost providers was successful, your card is ready to be reloaded. Before starting the reload procedure, you can check the configuration to see if it will execute the reload process the way you want it to. From the pull down menu in the top left, select the providers 1 by 1 to check their settings.
Remember that in this example, I edited the Providers.ini to include only provider 00 19 on the card and ignore all others. So if you have selected provider 00 04 from the pull down menu, it should be ignored. At the bottom of the screen you can see that the option Ignore this provider is checked indeed. You may repeat this check for all providers respectively. For this example, only provider 00 19 will show a dot in the Use this provider selection box. Also, when you did enter the date and keys in the Providers.ini, those data should be visible for that provider. If you have checked them all and found no errors, you are ready to continue with the real recharge. Click on the Close button.
You now get to see this screen down here again. Click the Launch charging button.
A popup window will warn you about the problems this procedure can cause. Never use this procedure on a fully functional working card unless you are absolutely sure that you have saved all card data. In this case, I assume that you are trying to repair a nonfunctional card, so in this case it cannot do any harm. Press Oui.
The windows on top of your main screen will disappear now and the main window is used as a log window. You can see (scroll back if you like) the progress of the recharging procedure.
If all went OK and you did not get an error-message, your card is ready. There are a few details that will require some further attention though. The Providers.ini file does not allow you to enter the primary en secondary keys 00 for the channel provider. So if you want to enter those keys (or any other key for that matter) just use MKFind to further optimize your card. Hope it works for you. Good luck :-)) | |
