Titanium Card Loader

Titanium Card Loader:

First of all, you need to know that there are 2 different versions of Titanium Card Loader. Both programs are built for programming Titaniumcards only, and both programs are built by TJ.

1. a special USB version
This program was built for the AD-Teknik Phoenix/Smartmouse USB Programmer, and it looks like this:

2. a universal version
This program was built for true serial Phoenix interfaces which connect to a real COM port, not a virtual one like it is used with most USB programmers.

I have set up this tutorial with screenshots of the special USB version only. Both programs are operated in allmost exactly the same way, only the AD-Teknik Phoenix/Smartmouse USB Programmer does require a few extra steps, which I will explain where needed.

The Titaniumcard is programmed in a completely different way than you are used from programming a Goldcard, Silvercard, Funcard etc. To start with, you cannot simply directly address the flash on the card. Also you don't need all kind of different programming modes. You only need a suitable 3,5 MHz Phoenix interface, or the AD-Teknik Phoenix/Smartmouse USB Programmer.

OK, so much for theory, now let's program that Titaniumcard.
Start by clicking the Flash button.
A new window will be opened for you to select the Flash file of your choice.

When you have selected the Flash file of you choice, the software will load that file. When the file is loaded correctly, the status bar turns green and you will see the name of the currently loaded Flash file in the status bar too.

Now click the EEprom button.
A new window will be opened for you to select the Eeprom file of your choice.

When you have selected the Eeprom file of you choice, the software will load that file. When the file is loaded correctly, the status bar turns green and you will see the name of the currently loaded Eeprom file in the status bar too.

If needed, follow the same procedure to load the Crypt file. Mind you, many file sets come without a crypt file, so if it is not supplied, you generally don't need one.

Now that all the required files are loaded, we can actually program the files to the card.
Normally I allways advise to do an erase of the card before programming, but with this software you don't need to do that manually. TJ has thought of everything :)
Because a Titaniumcard can only be programmed when it is in virgin state (completely erased) the software will allways automatically perform a full erase of the card before it starts programming.
So just hit the Program button now.

This next step is only needed if you are using the AD-Teknik Phoenix/Smartmouse USB Programmer. If you are using the universal version of the software, you will not even see this screen. So if you are working with the universal software, please click here to continue. AD-Teknik Phoenix/Smartmouse USB users, please read on.

If you have currently got a card inserted in the programmer, you will now see a warning in the status bar, telling you to remove the card from the programmer. This is necessary because the software cannot switch the programmer to the correct mode when a card is inserted. So remove the card from the programmer now.

You don't have to do anything else, the programmer will automatically detect when the card is extracted. When the card is removed, the programmer will be switched to Phoenix 3,58 MHz mode (see status bar message).

When the correct mode is set, you will be asked to insert the card in the programmer (see status bar message), so please do so now.

Now the actual programming is started.
You can see what is currently happening at any given moment, by looking at the status bar messages.

First the Flash file is programmed.

Then the Eeprom file is programmed.

If you did enter a Crypt file to be programmed, that will be programmed now.

When all programming is completed successfully, you will see the status bar turn green and a message will be displayed in the status bar to notify you of successfull completion.

Well, that's all.
That's how easy programming can be.
Have fun :)
