Twoprog 2.3 Public Beta 2: When I first started working with Twoprog, I used version 2.2 which every now and then returned error messages on startup. This version 2.3 Public Beta 2 has never offered any problems as yet. There is a BIOS upgrade available for the Programmer, as well as a new software release (Twoprog 2.4). This combination works perfect and solves almost all shortcomings that I have written about. I have devided this tutorial into 3 sections: 1. Configuration of the software 2. Programming an AVR type card (Funcard) 3. Programming a PIC type card (Goldcard) Before you can start using Twoprog, you need to configure it first. Click on the Configuration icon (the hammer) and set your preferences in the pop up window.
Now check if the software recognises the programmer. Click on the Connect icon (the light bulb). Make sure there is no card in your programmer!!!
If the connection is OK, you will se the indicator flash. The indicator is the red square (in the circle in the screenshot below). Also you will see the programmer type and serial number in the status bar at the bottom.
Now your programmer and software are ready to be used. But..... if you get an error message, you first need to solve that. If your screen looks like this down here, you have probably a card inserted. All cards should be completely removed from the programmer on start up. And I really do mean COMPLETELY. Another cause might be faulty cables or insufficient power supply.
